About this document
This page is part of the Merchant Terms (section 6): accepting the Terms accepts it.
Orrerie cannot see the goods or services a business sells, and it never holds a business's money. This page is therefore kept by what a business tells us when it signs up, by reports from buyers and the public, and by review. It is a product decision about what Orrerie Merchant will serve, not a statement of what any law allows.
What you may not sell (no account; restricted when found)
You may not use Orrerie Merchant for:
1. Anything illegal where the merchant or the buyer is.
2. Sexual content involving minors, non-consensual sexual content, or services for sexual exploitation or human trafficking.
3. Illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia sold for illegal use, prescription medicines without the required prescription or licence.
4. Weapons, ammunition, explosives, weapon parts and files for making them.
5. Stolen goods, stolen data, stolen accounts or cards, counterfeit goods, forged documents and identity documents.
6. Malware, ransomware, stalkerware, hacking for hire, denial-of-service services, tools sold to defeat others' security.
7. Mixers, tumblers and any service whose purpose is to hide where crypto came from; unlicensed exchange or money-transfer services; selling or buying crypto for cash for others.
8. Investment schemes promising returns, pyramid and Ponzi schemes, "get rich" programmes, unregistered sales of securities or tokens to the public, pre-sales of tokens.
9. Unlicensed gambling, lotteries, betting and games of chance for money.
10. Fundraising for violence, for listed terrorist groups, or for anyone on a sanctions list; any dealing with a sanctioned person or a country or region of section 3.
11. Hate, harassment or incitement to violence as the product.
12. Fake reviews, fake followers, fake engagement, academic cheating services.
13. Impersonating another business, a government body, or Orrerie.
14. Using Orrerie to take payment on behalf of other businesses (acting as a payment collector for third parties) without Orrerie's written agreement. Reason: it hides the real seller from every control here.
15. Selling anything to unlock content or features inside an iPhone or Android app in a way that breaks that store's payment rules. The merchant is responsible for its own app; Orrerie will act on a store's complaint.
A business that sells any of these is not offered an account, and one found doing so is restricted (section 5).
What you may sell only as a Verified business, after Orrerie's written yes
Licensed gambling; adult content and services that are legal; tobacco, vaping and alcohol; cannabis and CBD where legal; dietary supplements and anything making a health claim; licensed financial services, lending, and licensed crypto services; charities and political fundraising; crowdfunding; marketplaces that sell on behalf of others; ticket resale; travel sold far ahead of delivery; pre-orders more than 90 days before delivery; high-value goods (single items above US$10,000); VPN and anonymity tools.
These are lawful somewhere but carry high dispute or licence risk, so a person at Orrerie looks at the licence first. Being Verified does not by itself allow any of them. Before your first order in one of these categories, verify your business and ask us in writing.
Countries and regions not served
Orrerie Merchant is not offered to businesses stating, or signing up from: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine. The same list is given to our verification provider as blocked countries. The list can change when the law changes; the version in force is the one in these terms on the day.
Rules for every business
1. Describe what you sell truthfully, and tell Orrerie when it changes.
2. Show your buyers a price, what they get, your refund policy and a way to reach you before they pay; the checkout shows your support email and refund policy link, and they are required fields before the first live order.
3. Payments are final on the network. You, not Orrerie, decide and send refunds.
4. You are the seller. You handle delivery, complaints, taxes, licences and consumer rights.
5. Do not ask buyers for recovery words, private keys or remote access, ever.
6. Do not copy the checkout into your own page or show a deposit address anywhere but through Orrerie's page, API or official plug-ins.
7. Keep your API secrets and webhook secrets on your server; verify every webhook.
8. Do not use Orrerie to split, route or disguise payments, or to pay yourself to create a history.
9. Do not test stolen wallets, flood the checkout, or probe other merchants.
10. Orrerie may ask questions, limit, restrict or close an account that breaks these rules, and will say why unless the law forbids it. It cannot and will not take or hold your funds.
Restriction, notice and appeal
Only a person at Orrerie restricts an account, and always with one of these reasons:
prohibited_business. What we tell you: What this business sells is not allowed on Orrerie Merchant..
fraud_reports. What we tell you: Buyers have reported problems that need to be looked into..
impersonation. What we tell you: This business appears to present itself as another business..
sanctions_review. What we tell you: A sanctions check needs to be reviewed..
verification_false. What we tell you: Details given for business verification did not match..
legal_order. What we tell you: Orrerie received a legal order about this account..
security_incident. What we tell you: This account is part of a security investigation..
unpaid_fees. What we tell you: Fees owed to Orrerie are unpaid..
You get an email with that sentence and how to reply. Reply to the support address shown in your dashboard; we answer within 5 working days.
While your account is restricted: new orders, payment links, invoices, subscriptions, point-of-sale charges and payouts to others are off; open orders can still be paid and are credited; withdrawals to your own saved addresses, exports and your activity log keep working; your public profile says "This business isn't taking payments right now."
After 90 days restricted with no reply, the account moves to closing, as if you had asked to close it.
Restriction never touches your wallets. Your money stays in your wallets, which only your keys can move.
