About this document

A short notice for anyone who pays a business through Orrerie Pay. It is here to read; nothing asks you to accept it.

Who you are buying from

The business named on the checkout is the seller. Orrerie is not the seller and is not a party to your purchase: questions about what you bought, delivery and refunds go to the business, at the support address and refund policy shown on the checkout.

Payments are final

Crypto payments can't be reversed. Refunds are made by the business. Orrerie cannot refund, reverse or freeze a payment.

Routing

When you pay in another asset or on another network, Relay, a separate company, provides the deposit address and holds your payment in transit until it delivers it to the business. Sending the wrong asset, on the wrong network or to an expired address can lose your money.

Paying from the Orrerie app

The app fetches the order from Orrerie, and Orrerie links your payment to the order. The business is not told who you are.

Your privacy

No identity check, ever. Your paying address and transaction are public on the network and permanent. The address is checked against sanctions lists: Scorechain receives it, and Didit and its data supplier Merkle Science only if that check is switched on. Your IP address is kept 30 days for abuse control. Orrerie Pay asks for no email address.

A problem with your order

Contact the business: its contact is on the checkout page and on your receipt. To tell Orrerie about a business, use Report this business on the checkout, the receipt or the business's page.
